Bad hair day for Belted Kingfisher
This female Belted Kingfisher must have just emerged from a fishing expedition. She looks to be badly in need of a hairdresser. Photographed in the wilds of Presque Isle County, Michigan.

At first I thought that the bird got the worst of it but it seems a fairly common "hairdo" for Kingfishers while fishing. lol Great post.
More than once I have looked in the mirror in the morning to find that SAME hairstyle looking back at ME!
