This looks more like Neottiglossa or Trichopepla species. A close observation under the microscope and one can tell which it is. You can send future samples/collections to an entomology diagnostic lab for proper identification, all land grant universities have one.
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04118890178997484174noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6072479063452233450.post-2144044891993746752012-12-14T17:42:28.382-05:002012-12-14T17:42:28.382-05:00Oh yeah--so my point was, if you keep an eye on on...Oh yeah--so my point was, if you keep an eye on one of those throughout the day, it should slowly change back into the regular brown that you see more commonly!ceciliotishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05097747756632516130noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6072479063452233450.post-35861792128916628312012-12-14T17:40:48.742-05:002012-12-14T17:40:48.742-05:00Hello! A lot of times when 5th instar molts, its body is still soft, and looks a pale white or pink color. In this picture I've linked you can see a freshly molted 2nd instar at the top there, another pinky!

http://entnemdept.ufl.edu/creatures/veg/bean/BMSB_02.jpgceciliotishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05097747756632516130noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6072479063452233450.post-23532535870964215742012-10-17T18:36:17.865-04:002012-10-17T18:36:17.865-04:00I might have photographed one in southeast Oklahom...I might have photographed one in southeast Oklahoma: http://www.flickr.com/photos/susanad813/8098285870/Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06755182618109801452noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6072479063452233450.post-343740475818213502009-10-02T13:12:27.460-04:002009-10-02T13:12:27.460-04:00Thanks for the explanation of why there are so man...Thanks for the explanation of why there are so many stink bugs when I go back to Pennsylvania. I never saw any when I was growing up there. Now they are house invaders.

You gotta love a pink stink bug though!

In Mohican yesterday, someone said they saw a aqua blue millipede or centipede. Ever heard of such a critter?Janahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11907289523508846888noreply@blogger.com
